## Literacy Assistant Pro: A 24 Hackathon

Literacy assistant pro was a project that I took on with 3 of my close friends during Make UC 2021. This was a really fun experiment in which we set out to raise the literacy rate in the youth.
Our project would use cutting-edge speech to text technology from Assembly-AI. This allowed us to develop a customized error-detection algorithm for finding the words that the user miss-pronounced.
This application provided feedback to the user whenever they incorrectly pronounced a word. Take a look at our final submission video below. Our submission won second place out of 300+ teams!
